If it was really that easy…

Over the past month or so I have seen an influx of spam to my email. I believe that my email address was sold about a hundred times and it seems like no matter what I do I can not get them to stop! Instead of getting frustrated and mad I decided that I would take a look and see what I could learn from a marketing standpoint in the emails and on the landing pages they redirected me to. Most of these emails are being sent from MLMers (multi level marketers) and get rich quick schemers. Those new unbelievable internet businesses that can make you millions, and by “you”, they are referring to the guy that created the program. He gets you to buy into a system, that money goes strait to his pocket because all you are getting is an ebook that discuss some phony system that wont work. But the guy that created the program is getting rich because his target market is the 70% of people that fall for those schemes and buy in before they really evaluate the system or the program they are buying.

Something else that often happens to me, is that people will ask me to evaluate one of these online businesses to see if it is something that they should try to do. Their first impression is that it looks simple enough, it does not require much time, and its only $49 to $99 to get everything that you need to start making tens of thousands a month. I am always skeptical, when presented with a new business idea, not because I think everything is a scam, but because there are a bunch of people out there that are trying to make their millions off of our excitement and the vulnerability of those that are naive to these types of businesses.

Sense I am a web professional I have gained a lot of experience and insights to these type of online business and to the world of the internet in general. I have discovered that there are ways to make a lot of money on the internet, none of which are easy, and effortless. Most will require a lot of effort, time and dedication to new habits and new daily processes. I am sure that you have heard the saying before, “if its too good to be true then it probably is.” Well sometimes that is true! The other thing to always ask yourself when you are faced with making a decision regarding one of these types of businesses wether it is an online business or an MLM company, is “if it’s really that easy, why isn’t everyone doing it!?” The email, the sales page, the video and the person trying to sell you or recruit you is probably telling you how easy it is and how the guy that recruited them is making 25,000 dollars a month in his sleep! But seriously if it was that easy everyone would do it!! And anyone that had an ounce of sanity would be making tens of thousands a month.

SNAP OUT OF IT!!

There are so many people that let their emotions drive them to make a bad decision. Come on, really think about it, nothing is really ever that simple. There are some people out there that make things look that simple or easy, but its probably because of their personality, they can manipulate people without feeling bad, they have no problem deceiving people and steeling their money. Or it could just be that they are really good at motivating people to do things that they just would not usually do. They help you build this dream of the life that you want to live and then they sell you the idea that the only way to get it is through their program or business. Then once they have your money they leave you to fend for yourself.

I am not trying to keep you from evaluating and looking for new ways to build or create your wealth, I am only trying to provide a voice of warning or a voice of reason. Buyers remorse is one of the worst feelings, especially when you did not even have the money to spend in the first place.

I do not even have a suggestion to which companies or online businesses you could look for a good opportunity! I have looked and and considered many, and I have done none! Primarily because I have never been able to see myself doing the things that would need to be done to be successful at any of the programs I have evaluated.

Everything we do has to first start with a thought, that thought then leads to action and from there we start to bear our fruits. But in order to see the fruits of our labors we must be able to visualize ourselves doing the things we need to do to succeed, no mater what we are trying to accomplish.
