Blogging For Business 101

A different way of thinking. And a better way of working.

I started my business venture as a consulting firm, Eggleston Business Development L.L.C. Soon after starting that firm I decided that there was need for focus. I was consulting with companies on everything from, sales to what color their business cards should be. I observed that most business ideas are rushed, under capitalized and unstructured. This realization lead me to ponder on the basic necessities of a company, what will help a company gain momentum, enable them to build a brand and expose their name. I looked to advertisement and marketing, where do people look for the things they need? Ten maybe even 5 years ago I would have spent hundreds of dollars on phone book listings and advertising. Local newspapers and direct mail offers would have been high on the list too.

But today, we are dealing with a completely different generation and a more advanced society, where people own cars that will open the door for them with the push of a button. Why then, would they ever open the phone book and manually search for what they want; when at the push of a button they can have millions of results in front of them in a seconds time? The Internet has become more then a tool, it is a way of life. Technology is enabling us to be more productive (or lazy, depending on who you ask) in a much faster society. So I created an appendage to Eggleston Business Development, Blogging For Business 101.

My goal and focus is to provide small businesses and start up ventures with the tools and knowledge they need to grow and successfully launch their business. New methods of reaching prospective clientele, improving business, and customer relations. A much more affordable method of advertising with a much higher return on their investment. Every business wants their voice to be heard and for what they do to matter to someone. And that is what we help our clients do, STAND OUT, and when they stand out, customers come to them!
